Donate to MA-PT-PAC Today!

The American Physical Therapy Association of Massachusetts (APTAMA) is a strong voice for PT on Beacon Hill and in Washington DC.  The coordinated efforts of professional lobbyists, APTA staff resources, chapter leaders and the grassroots means your voice will be heard in critical policy discussions.

In 2014, this successful advocacy led to the passage of H.175, An Act Relative to Title Protection.  The bill protects the following terms: "C.P.T", "D.P.T", “D.R.P.T.”, "Dr. P.T.", from usage by anyone other than a physical therapist.  Many members had expressed concern that Certified Personal Trainers have been using C.P.T. and all involved wished to protect DPT and Dr. PT as the entry level doctorate becomes the standard for all PT's.

Advocacy by individual members, including contributions to MA-PT-PAC are critical to our advocacy efforts.  Please be as generous as you can.

The maximum allowable contribution is $500 and must be from personal funds - no corporate contributions.  Lobbyists are limited to $200.
